Post- Catching Fire Thoughts

THE ODDS ARE NEVER IN OUR FAVOR.

I just got home from watching Catching Fire, and wow... everyone really outdid themselves this time. How do I even begin to explain this? The movie was perfect, A++, would watch again, wouldn't change a thing. Fans will definitely not be disappointed. This movie got everything right. It was so good that it gave me the urge to reread the entire series, and I'm not the only one who's planning to.

All key events were present. The movie stayed very, very true to the book right up to the dialogue. I have to say, I wasn't very excited to watch it. The first movie was alright, but it wasn't spectacular. This one was at a whole new level. What I loved the most was the how much attention they paid to including little things from the book- tiny details that were hard to translate from text to action. An example of this would be when Peeta hits the force field and almost dies. Katniss panics. Then, we get a subtle close-up of Finnick as he watches her, and only those who've read the books will understand what he's thinking of at that moment. Another one is Prim. She seems more mature somehow... definitely less fragile. We realize that she isn't the little kid we saw in the first movie anymore.

The actors were superb. The scenery and sets were magnificent. The costumes were beautiful. The story and dialogue flowed smoothly. All of these little bits fell into place and made for a compelling movie.

Now, maybe it's because I used to be emotionally invested in the book series, but I almost cried over some of the more dramatic scenes. There were times I had to look away from the screen because they were too overwhelming and I was in danger of bursting into tears (*cough* Rue *cough*). My friends cried a lot of times. This movie just gave me so many feels.

Finnick came as the best surprise to me. I was kind of disappointed the first time I saw a promotional picture of him. The actor just didn't look the part, and I admit, he didn't look hot enough. But like most actors, I warmed up to him and while I'm not completely sold yet, I'm excited to see Finnick's sensitive and darker side in Mockingjay.

Overall, the movie was awesome. Like, mindbogglingly I-want-to-watch-it-again-as-soon-as-possible-y so. I won't be talking about anything but Catching Fire for the rest of the week and- who knows- the month. I'll be rereading the books as soon as I can too, and buy myself a Mockingjay pin while I'm at it.

Kudos to everyone who helped make this story come to life. They deserve all the awards.

This song was created for the Hunger Games movie, and in case you don't know what The Hunger Games is, it is a book series by Suzanne Collins, and I really recommend you read it. It was one of those books that kept me hooked, and I couldn't put it down because it kept getting better and better, and more action-packed. Especially when they entered the arena. It was so good, in fact that someone decided to turn it into a movie.  And now, we fans are just freakin' excited for it.

Anyway, with a trailer as awesome as that, who wouldn't be excited? I really hate it when the movie producers screw up the books (ahem, Percy Jackson, ahem), and change the plot, etc., just so that they could earn more money. And then we get rip offs of the original stories. Ugh.

And that's why I'm pretty excited about the Hunger Games movie. I mean, by the looks of the trailers, it looks like they got the important things right. (I don't expect them to get everything, or even almost everything right. I've been very disappointed in so many book-turned-movies, that my expectations have become very low. Harry Potter is an exception, of course)

So, a few weeks ago (I think), this song (which is the first one of the soundtrack) came out, and immediately became number 1 in the song charts. When I listened to this song, I first thought it was really good, but Taylor's voice doesn't suit it, or that there are many more voices that would have been better for it. Powerful, clear voices like Celine Deon's. And then I realized, the uploader of the video changed the pitch so it would not be copyrighted. When I listened to the TRUE song, well, fmdlkvmdlfldfbl it was awesome. :D

I close my eyes when I listen to this, imagining Prim and Katniss, when she (Katniss) volunteered to take her (Prim's) place at the games. No, I didn't cry, but that's only because I'm a cold-hearted freak. Seriously, I do not know what is wrong with me.

Anyway, I'm really excited for the rest of the soundtrack. I hope the other songs are as perfect as this one.

~~~Percbeth is Percy Jackson + Annabeth Chase. I was SO in love with this couple!! Nyahaah. They are charcters from the Popular series "Percy Jackson and The Olympians" by Rick Riordan.♥♥ Match made in heaven~~seriously, because they are demigods. PERCABETH! PERCABETH!! ♥♥. ~~~

2) Zammie
~~~Zammie is Zach Goode and Cammie Morgan from "Gallagher Girls" series by Ally Carter. They have this "love~hate" relationship thing. It is SO cute. haha... Zach is J.S.Hawt ~if you get what i mean (which, probably, you won't!) ;). Cammie and Zach are so KAWAII! (it means Cute) and "Kakakilig"!!! I Love them SO MUCH! awesome. Just awesome.~~~

3) Sakura Kinomoto and Syaoran Li

~~~Sakura and Syaoran come from my favorite childhood anime, Cardcaptor Sakura (english version: Cardcaptors). I just remember pieces of my childhood from watching them. CCS was created in, like, the 1990s so it is old, actually. But the graphics are still EXCEPTIONAL for a 1990's show. Li (A.K.A. Syaoran) is so cute when he blushes at Sakura! This is also kind of a "love~hate~bestfriend" kind. :")~~~

4.) Peeta X Katniss

So anyway, I like Peeta. He is wimpy in a cool way. ♥. Katniss is just wicked awesome. They Come from the Hunger Games ~~~

5.) Channy

~~~I used to be super kilig at channy (about 6 months ago) but I grew out of it. But they still deserve a place at my top 10 :). Channy is Chad+Sonny, who come from a disney show. They did have some cute scenes. But, yeah, I grew out of it :)~~~

6.) Shinichi X Ran

~~~Idk what Koichi+Ran makes. But, I love detective conan (an anime). And he likes ran a lot. And vice versa~~~

7.) Jaris

~~~This is a pair from our school. They are cute together :)~~~

8.) Thalico

~~~They come from "Percy Jackson and The Olympians" by Rick Riordan (forgive me for being a Percy~addict XD) Thalico is Thalia (daughter of Zeus) and Nico (Son of Hades), which you might think can be pretty ironic because Hades is in rivalry with Zeus. Even though there wasn't any romance between them, I (and all the other people who created "Thalico") want to see them together :D.~~~

9.) Katie X Dyllan

~~~From mirmo de pon (yet another anime, ^__^ ,I love animes OK? ;P). It's another part of my childhood, and they finally got together after 4 years! Isn't that so CUTE? :D~~~

10.) Jeric

~~~Another love team from our school. Most people don't like them, and I personally think they don't look fit for each other, but they DO really love each other, and I guess they deserve to be here (in my list, i mean)~~~
